TO BE POSITIVE MEANS TO BE SELF-MOTIVATED

TO BE POSITIVE MEANS TO BE SELF-MOTIVATED

To put it simply, "self-motivation" is the energy that drives you to do things. There are many ways to try to elaborate on what self-motivation is, and some of academia's top wise men have spent their entire lives attempting to understand the concept of "self-motivation" and its application in our daily lives. Self-motivation is an important life skill that everyone can benefit from in terms of personal development. Motivation drives us to accomplish our objectives, feel more fulfilled, and improve our overall quality of life. People who are self-motivated are more organized, have better time management skills, and have higher self-esteem and confidence when interacting in personal and professional settings.

What is your motivation?

Fundamental to Self-Esteem Understanding what motivates You to do things is the goal of motivation. Your motivation is mostly hidden from your conscious awareness - your own personal hidden agenda. Your motivation can change from hour to hour, day to day, and throughout your life. As a result, your wants, needs, and goals change and evolve. For example, in police work, it is more important to understand 'Why' they did it - what was their motivation? This would lead to the question of 'Who' did it. It may take some detective work to understand your motivations as well - what drives you to do the things you do, and perhaps more importantly, what prevents you from doing other things?

There are three types of Motivators in general:

  • Intrinsic:

We enjoy doing things simply because we want to.

  • Extrinsic:

We do it because we require the funds.

  • Obligation:

Responsibility stemming from our morals and sense of what is right and wrong.

Personal Goal-Setting

Self-motivation, personal goals, and achievement all have a strong correlation. To get properly motivated, think about your personal goals and what you want to accomplish in your life. Depending on our dynamic preferences, we all have a desire to achieve something. As a kid, We all wanted to get good grades, then win a competition, then pass the driving test, and so on. While our goals will change as we progress, our desire to accomplish something at every stage will not. The more you accomplish, the more self-assured you become. As you gain confidence in yourself, you become more self-motivated, which allows you to accomplish more.

Classify Life Objectives

Make a list of your goals and categorize them, such as Academic, which includes what qualifications you want to obtain. Career, including what level in your job you want to reach in a reasonable time frame; Monetary goals, such as how much you want to earn and save by a certain age; What kinds of activities and how many of them would you like to do for a good cause? artistic, fine arts-related goals or hobbies that you would like to pursue; followed by, possibly, domestic and physical objectives

Making Your Objectives SMART:

Your ability to achieve your objectives is solely dependent on your intelligence.

S stands for Specific, which means you know exactly what you're looking for.

M stands for Measureable, which means you can measure and track your progress on your own.

A stands for attainable or agreeable, which means they should not be impossible or unrealistic.

R stands for Relevant, which means that their sub-goals must be relevant to your main goals.

T for timed, for each of which you should set a deadline.

Stay Motivated

Ultimately, it is crucial to keep yourself motivated, and in order to do so, you can do a few tricks to your body and mind: keep reading, talking to people, socialize with enthusiastic & positive minded people, stop putting it off & start doing small but regular things that you may have shelved for years, know and keep working on your strengths & weaknesses, keep helping others, allow others to help you, practice feelings for others, and lastly spend time with others.
